Siemens has signed an agreement to acquire Altair Engineering Inc. Altair shareholders will receive USD 113 per share, representing an enterprise value of approximately USD 10 billion. The offer price represents a 19 % premium to Altair's unaffected closing price on October 21, 2024. With this acquisition Siemens strengthens its position as a leading technology company and its leadership in industrial software.

read more ... The Seat Evaluation Tools (SETs) FE models were presented at the IRCOBI Conference 2024 in Sweden. Development of the first version of the SET 50F and 50M models was done for the FE code LS-DYNA (ANSYS). The key features of the SETs are; an articulated spine, flexible shoulders and a biofidelic body surface contour that closely matches that of the corresponding HBM, VIVA+. The FE SET models are being developed to obtain a close fidelity of virtual response to the hardware SET responses.
