On October 28, 2025, the "Taiwan New Car Assessment Program Version 2 Launch Event" was held at the Vehicle Research and Testing Center. ASEAN NCAP recently performed an assessment on BYD's latest model, the BYD Seal. The Seal made an outstanding performance in its debut assessment, in which it successfully achieved a 5-Star ASEAN NCAP rating with an overall score of 92.07 points. The sedan obtained a total score based on the four assessed categories: Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) with 38.44 points, Child Occupant Protection (COP) with 16.60 points, Safety Assist (SA) with 19.52 points, and Motorcyclist Safety (MS) with 17.50 points.

TIME revealed its annual list of the Best Inventions, which features 300 extraordinary innovations changing our lives. For the second year in a row, Volvo Cars is honoured to be included on the list for its latest safety innovation.
Drowsy driving is a form of impaired driving, just like driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs or while distracted by a cellphone. And while many people have a story like mine, the issue gets relatively little attention compared with other problematic driver behaviors. Although there is no single solution for drowsy driving, better awareness of the need for adequate sleep, combined with both tried-and-true infrastructure solutions like rest areas and rumble strips and newer vehicle technology that can jolt us awake or take emergency action, can help mitigate the inevitable human tendency to get tired.
Ever tried driving with lane keeping or ACC active, only to suddenly realise the system gives up - maybe because of a sharp curve, missing road markings, or a blinded sensor? Drivers are left wondering: why now? what happened? can I trust this next time?
