Advocates and 85 Organizations endorse Bill requiring AEB to dected and response to Bicyclists and Motorcyclists

article imageAdvocates and 85 groups including those representing safety, bicycle, motorcycle and consumer issues and property/casualty insurance associations and companies announced support in a letter for the Magnus White and Safe Streets for Everyone Act of 2026 (H.R. 7353). The legislation will require new passenger vehicles to be equipped with AEB systems that detect and respond to bicyclists, motorcyclists and other vulnerable road users (VRUs).

UNECE normative Tools to support Implementation of EU-Australia free Trade Agreement

NTSB names new Directors of Highway Safety and Research and Engineering Offices

NHTSA announces Record-low Traffic Deaths & Fatality Rates in 2025

article imageThe U.S. Department of Transportation's National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced that traffic deaths fell to record lows in 2025. With an estimated 36,640 traffic fatalities in 2025-a 6.7% decrease from 2024-the nation saw its second-lowest traffic fatality rate in recorded history at 1.10 fatalities per 100 million vehicle miles traveled.
